A Soft Footbed recraft includes a genuine Birkenstock Soft Footbed, genuine Birkenstock sole and cork sealer. Some sizes are not currently available 47 - 50 and in those instances, a Classic Naked Birkenstock footbed will be used with added padding and lined in suede.

Deep Heel Cup

The deep heel cup cradles the heel and keeps your natural cushioning right under the heel bone.

Longitudinal Arch Support

The higher longitudinal arch support runs along the sides of the footbed, providing stability with each step.

Transverse Arch Support

The transverse arch support runs through the middle of the footbed, helping ensure proper alignment and a solid stance.

Raised Toe Bar

The raised toe bar encourages the natural gripping motion of your feet, exercises the legs, and stimulates circulation.

Soft Footbed Recraft with Footbeds and Soles Review

My Birkenstocks have been around the world and have been great companions to me for over 24 years at this point so by the time I sent them to Michelangelo they were in rough shape. They had been repaired once before, but I did not do my homework that time so it was not quality work, which meant that they were in need of recrafting with new footbeds and soles as well as some generous TLC. My shoes received tender care in spades, as well as being returned to my happy feet with a quickness that was surprising. This was thrilling to someone who is overly attached to a pair of blue and green sandals and despises being apart from them for long. The footbeds are comfortable, the leather of my sandals hasn’t appeared as clean and bright in decades, and I’m grinning from ear to ear each time I gaze at my feet ensconced in my old friends with their makeover. I know exactly where my Birkenstocks will go to visit when they are feeling the need for repair in the future and highly recommend that everyone else send their foot friends to the master as well. I cannot imagine that you would be disappointed!

Couldn't be happier

I come from a Concord, NH which has a Birkenstock repair store right in town. When I moved to Alabama, I realized there wasn't one in the entire state. After contacting Birkenstock directly, they gave me a link to this repair my Birkenstocks website. I mailed my Birkenstocks from Alabama to Illinois. He repaired them in just a couple of days and I had them back a couple of days later. Not only do they look absolutely brand spanking new when they were in terrible condition, but the speed of the service is more than I could have possibly hoped or expected. Beyond pleased with my repaired Birkenstocks. He is quick to respond via email as well. I will definitely use this service again. Thanks so much!
